Taylor and I took Banks to the Strawberry Park Easter Egg Hunt Sturday morning. We left Leigh with my mom because she has a cold and it was a little windy. This is Banks and Emma (a little girl from his Mother's Morning Out class). He did a great job of finding eggs!!

Banks found a LIZARD on the swingset. He and Taylor played with him for a little while then the lizard had to be let go to "go find his mommy!"

Also Saturday morning, Taylor took John and Will turkey hunting and WILL KILLED A TURKEY!! We were so proud of him. That night John, Amy, and Will came over for a turkey fry! The boys had a great time playing with it.

What we've been up to...

Taylor has been getting the garden started again this year! We went to a friend of his grandmothers in Canton to get some good soil. We knew that he was going to use a front end loader (yes...I know all of the different trucks now!!) so we took Banks. While we were there, the cows started mooing! Banks loved it!! We had a great time.

Yes, Leigh is eating rice cereal already! Where has the time gone. She is 4 months already! We are a little worried...as you can see she does not like plastic spoons....but you put her cereal on a SILVER spoon...and she eats it all! I think we have a little princess who was born with a silver spoon in her mouth LITERALLY!!!

Taylor gave Leigh her first bite of REAL food!! Someone already has her daddy wrapped around his little finger!!

My mom and I took Banks to see the REAL Thomas the Train in Birmingham Friday morning. Here he is when he spotted Thomas!!

ZZ, Julie, and Wyatt met us in Birmingham. The boys loved seeing Thomas! As you can see, we hopped aboard and rode the REAL Thomas!! It was great!!

Spring break '09

My mom and I took Banks and Leigh to Orange Beach for spring break. Mimi & Papa, Diana, Salli & her two children, Hadley, and Aunt Debby also were there. We had a GREAT time. Having 5 children under the age of 3 1/2...there was never a dull moment. Banks had a great time playing with his cousins. Taylor was in New York competing against other law schools in a "debabte" type thing. We missed him so much but talked to him the whole time we were gone!

Banks has gotten so big! He loved the ocean and the sand (which is an improvement from last year!!)

We actually took Leigh to the beach one morning. Mimi held her the whole time No we did not get her in the water!! Here are Mimi, Banks, and Leigh!

We took Banks to his first MSU basketball game. He absolutely loved it. He was not to sure about it when they turned the lights out to announce the players but other than that it was GREAT! He was SO good.

Did I mention that it was a 2:00 game. Eventhough he has been trying to giv e up his nap. All the excitedment wore him out. He slept through half time and the first few minutes of the second half. Then he was back up again cheering! It was a GREAT game!!

John, Amy, and Will came over the other night to cook out. The boys played so well together (until the fact that Banks did not take a nap caught up with him!) Here are the boys with their daddys. I promise that I did not place the Hogwash in the picture but hey...any advertising helps!!

Leigh and I tried to have a photo shoot the other day. Needless to say, it is very difficult to do this by yourself when her head would not stay up! I thought this one was cute though.

This is how Banks looks ofter. Like I posted earlier, he always gives her a hug and says, "I love you Leigh Wilson".

We had Leigh baptised at church this morning. Leigh was wonderful. She did not scream at all. After church we had our family over to our house for brunch. I have a few more pictures that I will post later. It was a beautiful day to share with our family. We are so blessed to have such wonderful families and two beautiful and healthy children. God has truely enriched our lives and for that we are greatful.

Banks, Leigh and I went over to play with Carter and Helen yesterday morning. We did not get any pictures of Carter and Banks but we did get a few of Leigh. I had her in her carrier ready to go home when we took these pictures. I think Helen needs to be a full time photographer. She does such a great job! Banks and Carter had a great time playing. Carter was such a big time when we were giving Leigh a bottle. She is going to be such a great big sister when Caroline comes. Thanks Carter for sharing all your toys and you can come to our house and have a popsicle anytime!! Eventhough it is right before lunch! hee hee!!

Banks absolutely loves his sister. He is always wanting to help us give her a bottle and stuff the pacifier in her mouth! In the mornings he asks her if she slept well!! Here is he giving her a kiss. We had a great Christmas. Banks was so much fun now that he is a little older. He went right to bed Christmas Eve waiting for Santa Claus to come. We went to ZZ and Pop's house Christmas Eve and opened presents. They REALLY outdid themselves for all of us. One of Banks' favorite presents was this horse that he could ride! He got lots of Thomas the Train items. Thanks ZZ and Pop for everything!!

Another favorite were these cowboy pajamas!! Banks and Wyatt loved them along with their cowboy hats!!

Banks and Leigh...as you can tell he is loving her now! He has been such a big help!!

At Neise and Poppy's house...Banks got so many presents that we had to go back over there the day after Christmas to finish opening!! One thing that he did get on Christmas morning was a new bike!! Taylor has been working so hard teaching him how to pedal!!

Leigh was a real trooper through the whole day. She just went with the flow!

Taylor and I are so thankful for our two beautiful and healthy children. They are both truely the light of our eyes. I do not know how our Savior could have put his own son on the cross to die for us. That is amazing. Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Taylor and Banks went to meet ZZ, Pop, and Wyatt at Bass Pro Shop tonight so Leigh and I had a photo session! I was trying to get a picture with her eyes open. She is getting so big. The dress that she has on was mine when I was a baby! I am loving dressing her up! She is such a little princess (as her daddy calls her!) Banks is doing GREAT as a big brother. When she cries he tells me.."Mommy she needs a bottle!!" Last night we were all sitting in the den and he walked over to her and was talking to her as if she was going to answer him! It was really funny. Then this morning he was asking her how she slept last night. I promise that she does have a neck!!

Look at our little angle! She is so precious. She is already eating 4 ounces/feeding! Such a little pig!! I can't believe that she is already 2 weeks. I am loving staying at home with both kids. We are having so much fun.

ZZ and Pop bought Banks this GREAT train set. It come with lots more pieces (bridges, trees, stop signs, etc) but this is all I can handle right now. He LOVES Thomas the train.

Thanks Helen for posting pictures!! We are at home now with our sweet little girl. She is SO tiny! This was right after I had her before Taylor went to get Banks. After they cleaned her up, Taylor went to the waiting room where all of our family was to get Banks. Then he brought Banks to the back to meet his new little sister. After he met her..Taylor, Banks, and Leigh all went out to introduce Leigh to the family! Banks has really done a GREAT job with his little sister. He usually thinks it is ok for me to hold her...however, he usually tells Taylor to put her down and pick him up!

Hey it's Helen...I just got back from meeting PRECIOUS Leigh Wilson Polk. She is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Mama, daddy, and big brother Banks are all doing great!! Leigh arrived at 2:15 p.m. and weighed 7lbs. 8oz. she was 21 inches long. I took a "few" pics while I was there, but I know Christina will have many more! ENJOY

Pumpkin Patch and MSU football

Saturday after a fun filled day at the pumpkin patch (see below) Taylor and I left Banks with ZZ and Pop and we went to Starkville to the football game. We stayed with Jennifer and BJ (THANKS A TON!!) and sat with Adam and Lauren. Lauren looks great for just having Baby Ty a few weeks ago. Ty is so precious. It really made me realize/remember how tiny Leigh is going to be! Anyway, we only have 29 more days until she arrives. Thanks again to Jenn and BJ for letting us stay with yall. We had a great time.

Happy Birthday and The Fair

Taylor's big 3-0 was yesterday (the 18th). We had some some friends over to "tailgate" at our house and watch football then went to Ticos for dinner. It was lots of fun! I will have to post pictures later from Ticos. Happy Birthday Taylor. We love you very much! Last weekend we went to the fair. Banks loved the petting/feeding zoo. All morning he and Taylor would say..."We are going to feed the goats!" So here they are feeding the goats!!
As you know, I don't do many rides. Especially ones that go in circles. I get so dizzy and sick. Taylor and Banks loved riding on the carousel.
Banks and Wyatt in the car. I think they both would have stayed in these cars all day. They were so funny when the ride started....they both really thought they were driving!
Oh yes...we did stop and get some chicken on a stick! YUM YUM!! Leigh really liked it also!
Well here Banks and I are riding the ponies. Yes, I did say that I don't do circles but Taylor and his dad had gone to get ice cream and Banks wanted to ride the ponies....so what did we do...hopped in them! Yes, Leigh is really poking out. Banks was looking at Wyatt who was riding with ZZ! We had a great time!!

Youth Weekend?

Did somebody say that this weekend was opening for youth? Banks can't wait for his daddy to take him to the woods! Leigh and I will just stay home and SHOP!! Yes, taylor wanted to hang this deer up...but oh no, one deer on the wall in our house is PLENTY!! So this one is just "in the office" (The dining room has become Taylor's make shift office while we await Leigh's arrival!)

Stretch!!

Each time Taylor goes running....Banks has to stretch with him. It is so funny to watch. He loves his daddy so much! He also loves his camo boots. Everyday when we get home, he goes in his room, takes off his shoes, and puts on his boots. Like father like son!!
Notice how his legs are crossed...he told me he was "stretching his back!" Maybe he will take after his daddy and work out! Big Momma over here sure has not been doing much lately!!

Banks loves stickers. He puts them on EVERYTHING! I have found that one way we can make it through the grocery store/Wal Mart is to give him a sheet of stickers and some fruit snacks and he is good to go for about 15 minutes!

Meet Daffy! Taylor stopped by The Fish Bowl in Ridgeland before coming home yesterday to get Banks a FISH! What? We have two dogs, a two year old, and a baby on the way! I can't handle another mouth to feed!! Oh well, Banks loves it and named him Daffy. He is our new Beta fish.

We had a great time at Banks' birthday party. Taylor went and got swimming pools for the kids to play in! Taylor gets all the credit! He did an amazing job of getting it together. THANKS!!

Saturday was Banks' second birthday! I can not believe it. Where does the time go? His grandparents went in together and got him this "Gator"!! He absolutely loves it. Thanks Neise, Poppy, Zee Zee and Pop!
Eventhough his party is not until next weekend, we wanted to go ahead and let him take the Gator for a test drive!!
Also, Saturday was our 5 year anniversary. After playing with Banks all morning, Taylor and I went to Olive Branch to Amy and John Nisbett's wedding. It was great seeing so many people from high school/college.
Yes...you can see my big baby bump in this picture! I am 23 weeks and if you haven't heard...we are having a GIRL!! Michaela is 17 weeks. She and Jared will find out in two weeks what they are having..eventhough I am sure that it is a boy!
The three mommas!! Yes, Nikki, Michaela , and I are all preggers. Nickki is having Baby Nash December 5th (yes the day after my due date!!) Thanks Michaela and Jared for letting us stay with yall!! We had a great time.

We went to Birmingham this past weekend to the Ross Bridge Resort to celebrate my brother's birthday. We had a great time swimming, sliding, and eating!! I am not real sure what pose Banks is doing in the picture but I thought it was precious!
Yes, we ALL went down the slide. It was Leigh's first time down the slide!! I think she really liked it. She kicked me after we would go down. I think she was telling me "More Momma More!"

Happy Father's Day Taylor!! We love you so much. You are the best daddy that anyone could ever ask for! I have to brag on him for a minute...He is working, studying for two summer school law classes (so he will not have to take such a full load when Baby #2 comes), and going to class 4 nights a week AND still makes time to be an incredible husband and daddy! I am so porud of you and all that you have accomplished!!

So TAYLOR (Not me!!) got the bright idea after church to go "borrow" someone's Hillary sign out of their yard and put it in Zee Zee's yard. Zee Zee is a Republican through and through! So Taylor thought that it would be funny to put it in her yard and hide with the camera until she got home. I have never seen her leap out of her car so fast and rip something out of her yard! Taylor and Pop thought it was very funny!!Taylor here: Momma always asked, "What if your face got stuck like that?" Such an ugly expression on an otherwise attractive face!!

I can't believe that I have not posted in so long! Sorry for all of those who check our site on a regular basis!! hee hee!! I have just been so sick. Like when I was preggers with Banks...my Hyper Emesis came back. However this time I did not have to go to the hospital they came to me! That is right. We have had home health come to our house and hook up an IV and give me "the pump"! The pump helped for a little while but then it made me CRAZY!! So needless we have taken that out. I am taking Zofran by mouth and it is helping. We went back to the doctor yesterday and Baby P's heartbeat is very strong. Praise the Lord. I can not begin to say how thankful I am for Taylor. He has been so wonderful in helping me change my needle for the pump, cleaning the house, cooking supper, etc. He is out of school for a few weeks and totally taking care of Banks and me. I love him so much.
I will post some recent pictures of Banks soon. He is just getting so big and talking so much! We can not get over how he is growing!!

Well it is that time of the year when we have to mow the grass! Well since we have not used the lawn mower in months...it needed a little TLC! Banks was right there to help Taylor out! NO..I hardly EVER let him wear collard shirts (they look so big boy..) but at the time he had on a long sleeved shirt and was burning up and this was the first think I grabbed!

We went to Madison's easter egg hunt at Strawberry Park with Hayes and Reagan. Banks had a great time....
...until we left him alone with the Easter Bunny!!
Although, he was fine as long as Hayes and Reagan were close!

Spring Break 08

We went to the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, AL this past weekend and came back yesterday. Banks had a great time playing in the pool and with all of his new friends! He was SOOO Good.

Since we were so close to Foley....we HAD to stop and shop for a little while. Banks stopped and drove the airplane for a little while.

Banks woke up the other morning not feeling well. I figured it was just allergies but called the dr just to check. When we went in, we found out that he had his first ear infection and a sinus infection. After 2 different medicines and some ear drops....he is getting better!

We will miss you

My grandmother's sister, Ruth, passed away Saturday night. For those of you who know Mamie Kosko, it is her grandmother. We were at the hospital for most of the day Saturday to take care of BJ (my grandmother) because she was so upset. BJ and Ruth were so close for all of their lives. There were 10 children altogether in their family. BJ was #7 and Ruth was #8. They had their children together and went on MANY vacations together. We will miss Ruth every day and can not believe that she is not with us anymore. However, we can truly take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven with our Heavenly Father and her parents, her brother and her sister. We love you Ruth and will miss you greatly!

1. I have died before!! Yes, I know it seems strange but when I was three years old....I decided to go swimming in the deep end!! My heart stopped and thank goodness for Ron Evans and his daughter who found me and brought me back to life!
2.When I had to get my MMR shot for college....I fell out and had to go lay down on the bathroom floor!
3. I have anxiety when I look at the fan blades at our house and there is dust! Not to say that I am a neat freak but for some reason that BUGs me!!
4. I have to take a shower EVERY night before I get in bed. I can not get in bed without doing this!!
5. I am 29 years old, a wife, and mother and STILL can't stay at our house alone. When Taylor goes to deer camp. I have to load up all Banks' stuff and go spend the night at Neise and Poppy's house!
6. My favorite part of the week is Saturday mornings when Taylor, Banks, and I are playing! I love spending time with my boys!!!
7. I am truely married to my best friend. We have been dating since our freshman year in college. I love Taylor so much. This March we will have been together for 10 years!!! He is the best husband and daddy ever!!

Banks loves to put on Taylor's hat. He is learning so much everyday. He knows all of his facial features (e-As, eyes, "mose", teeth, etc) and here he is with Taylor counting. Obviously they were on the number 2!! He can say, "one, two, three"!! Then he wants you to clap for him. He also knows the colors blue and green..Next week we will move onto RED!!! (Can you tell...I am such a first grade teachers!!!)

A Night Out...

We went to the Alluvian two nights ago for a little get-a-way with Josh and Lauren Ginn. Josh is in law school with Taylor. We went to Gardenias (sp?) for supper (where the amount of food that we consumed will make you sick!!) but it sure was yummy. We missed Banks terribly but it was fun to have a night out.

I do not know why i only have a couple of pictures from Christmas. I guess I was so busy opening...i forgot to take pictures. We had a fabulous Christmas. It is so much fun to watch Banks. Eventhough he does not understand that whole Santa concept now, he loved seeing everyone and opening his MANY presents! Here is the precious tricycle that Neise and Poppy gave him. He loved "scooting" all around the house on it. He is showing it to Papa!
Mc (my brother) gave Banks his first four wheeler.You push a button and off he goes! So fun!!

Christmas in Canton

We went to Canton last night with Taylor's family to see all the lights. Both of the boys loved the lights. I think we will make that a family tradition to do every year!
Zee Zee, Pop, and Aunt Lucy stood in line (while we went into the animated museum) so we could all ride on the fire truck. Look in the background and see Julie, Tommy, and Wyatt.

Here he is!! Neise got Banks this Rudolph nose while she was in Las Vegas. He loves it. He kept putting it on his nose, my nose and Neise's nose!
Taylor and Pop went to Montgomery Island hunting last weekend so Banks and I hung out with my mom and dad. Sunday after church we went to Canton to see Santa Claus. Well, Santa was not there but Neise and Banks rode the carousel. He loved it. Thanks Neise and Poppy for keeping us intertained since Taylor was out of town.

Here are Banks and Pawpaw at one of Hayes' soccer games. Pawpaw went to the doctor two weeks ago because the noticed that he was tireder than normal. The doctor did some test and scheduled a heart cath. Well, when they got in and examined his heart...they foudn three blockages...so next step..triple bypass surgery. He went into the hospital TUesday (after Thanksgiving) for the surgery. We all went to Greenville. After about a 5 hour surgery and a phone call from the nurse that there were really 4 blockages, Pawpaw got out of surgery with quadruple bypass surgery. He came through GREATLY! The surgerons said that his "insides" looked like that of a 55 year old (He is 82!!) He has been in ICU since the surgery just for monitoring but is doing remarkably well. We know the reason is because all of the prayers people were saying for our family. THANK YOU SO MUCH! You will never know how much it means to our family. Hopefully, Pawpaw will be in his own room soon then come home to recover. BJ has been so strong through all of this. Next April (I think) they will celebrate 59 years together. Thank you BJ and Pawpaw for being such a role model for all of us. We love you very much.

We went to Canton to Taylors aunt's house. It was SO yummy! Banks loved every bite!! Aunt Lucy even made turkey cookies for him!
Aunt Lucy got a new recliner right before Thanksgiving and saved the box. Uncle Jeff and Taylor brought it inside and make Wyatt and Banks a house (with pictures windows with a dome over them, swinging front door, and even a mail slot!!) to play in while we ate lunch! THANKS UNCLE JEFF...YOU ARE THE BEST!!

We had a great Halloween with our little lion. We went to the Collier's neighborhood to a "Halloween party" then came home and trick or treated in our neighborhood. Banks loved to be outside and see all the children that came to our house.

We took Banks to the fair Saturday! He loved it. We went to the petting zoo, walked through where the 4-H people were showing their cows and horses and fed the animals. We also had to make a stop by Penn's for CHICKEN ON A STICK!! It was so YUMMY!!! After lunch, Taylor and Banks rode on "the horse"!! I get very motion sick....so I was just on it for a picture then had to exit!

First haircut!

We took Banks to the barber shop this morning to get his first haircut! All he needed cut was the sides and the back. I was so scared that after his trim that he would not look like a "baby" anymore. But I had to make a choice....a haircut or a mullet??? We opted for the haircut
He had to sit in Taylor's lap. Don't you love the HUGE cape that they put on him. It even said Hinds Community College on it! Blast from the past for dad!!
Banks was so good while they were cutting but when it got time to cut around his ears and he had to sit very still, he did not like that.
I tried really hard to get me to look at me for his picture but he was into his blocks! I will try and post a front shot later.

Banks spent the day with Mimi and Papa today. They took him to The Bass Pro Shop where he saw all the animals....he even touched a duck! He loves DUCKS!! Anyway, he was so tired when I picked him up. Mimi gave him a chocolate chip cookie for the ride home. This was how he looked when we pulled in the carport! (Taylor undid some of his belt...it was all the way attached on the drive home.) Notice all the chocolate on his face!! Must have been YUMMY!!!

We had such a fun Saturday. The weather was beautiful! Banks loves to be outside listening to the birds and looking for airplanes. Taylor has been studying so hard in law school. He took a break for a couple of hours to play! Banks loves his daddy so much. He walks around the house saying "Da da" then he will finally fo in the guest bedroom (where Taylor studies) and scream "DA DA"!! Thanks Taylor for studying so hard for Banks and me. We love you very much!

We went over to the Stacy's house last night to watch the MSU game (or that lack of!) Here are Matt and Taylor "lounging". That is right...there was not to much to cheer about. Although Banks had a GREAT time playing with Carter.
Trying to get Banks and Carter to look at the camera at the same time....was absolutely IMPOSSIBLE!! Look how precious they are though. Yes, Banks is eating Carter's new Snow White high heel!!! She walks like a little princess (that she it) in them.

Reagan (my cousin) and one of her friends had a duel birthday party Friday night with "High School Musical" as the theme. They all went to dinner then a limo came and picked up ALL the girls (18 of them), rode them around town for a little while, then brought them home where the rest of the party was. Notice the red carpet that all the girls walked down after getting out of the limo!! Reagan loved her present from her mom and dad....a chi-poodle (chiwahwah-poodle mix!!)

Looks at all of Banks' presents. He is so special to so many people (especially his momma and daddy!!We had a great time tonight at Banks' birthday party. So many family members and friends. Taylor and I were talking about what we were doing at this time last year. Time really does seem to go so fast. Thank you to all that came to celebrate with us. We love you all!
Banks loved his cake and ice cream. It is so nice that he can have dairy products now and I do not have to be the "bad mom" for not letting him have them!!

We just got back from a week at the beach! Banks loved the water. He was not to sure about the sand. It would get stuck on his hands then he would wipe his eyes. Not a good mixture! However, he loved the water!

Banks, Zee Zee (Taylor's mom), and I went to the zoo Tuesday. He loved it. Here is Banks and Hyden (Bev's little boy.) We just happend to run into them and they both loved the otters. If Banks had his way, we would STILL be at the otters!

Salli and Jay had their baby!! Clark Campbell Hobson was born yesterday. He was 7 lbs 2 ounces and is adorable. He looks just like his momma!! We are thrilled for the Hobsons. We love you Clark!!
